Saint Patrick used the shamrock to explain the Trinity. Happy St Patrick’s Day!
Our update this week is from Carolyn: Rev Scott delivered an inspirational message of positivity. He quoted Teddy Roosevelt as saying “Get in the arena!” We should always look at the glass as half full, and be aware each and every day of how we can work on that attitude. And let our light shine!
It would be nice to have his sermon title on the sign this week:
We can Live a Positive Life.
In our prayers today, among others, we thought of the Blackmar family. Betty’s son Barry passed away recently after a long illness.
Our New Testament reading this Sunday is II Timothy 1:1-12. Reverend Scott returns to the pulpit with a sermon entitled: “Deborah: The First Female President of Israel” And he has promised to wear a festive green vestment!
Our “souper” book discussion continues this THURSDAY EVENING MARCH 14 at 7PM with Richard Rohr’s “Falling Upward: a Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life.”
We will have a white bean soup and of course, fresh bread. and then, in celebration of Saint Patrick and a holy Lenten season...
Please join us for Sunday Brunch right after the service – pancakes and sausage will be provided but fruit is always welcome.
